Indonesian Wound Ostomy Continence Nurses Association is very pleased to present our Journal, namely “ Journal of Indonesian Wound Ostomy Continence Nurses Association”. This journal publish the 1st edition in February 2022. I believe this journal will serve as a thoroughly researched foundation for contemporary clinical excellence in wound, ostomy, and continence care.
In this first edition, we can learn from the clinical nurses and researchers about the effect of educational programs on knowledge and practice of nurses regarding prevention of surgical site, DMIST scale for predicting wound healing, walking speed and insole that reduce plantar pressure in diabetes, application of herbal ingredients aloe vera gel for burns wound healing, callus as a risk factor for the recurrence of diabetic foot ulcers, the development of antibacterial dressing in the treatment of diabetic foot ulcer, the effect of diabetic foot spa on lower extremity circulation, impregnated vaseline as an alternative for treatment superficial-mid dermal burn, wound care management in infants with congenital abnormalities, and guidelines for diabetic foot ulcer prevention.
This journal will provide knowledge and evidence for wound, ostomy, and continence nurses, leading to the improvement of quality of care in clinical settings.
